Canada's Wonderland, Toronto's amusement park

Canada's Wonderland It is the largest amusement park in Canada and features over 200 rides, over 65 rides, North America's largest variety of roller coasters, and Splash Works, a 20 acre water park.

It is located thirty minutes north of Toronto in an area of 120 hectares (300 acres). The park has several thematic areas. The four original sections, International Street, Medieval Fair, Great World's Fair of 1890 (now Action Zone), and Hanna-Barbera's Happy World.

Among other areas stands out Top Gun that opened in 1995 (based on the movie Top Gun), with a theme from the movie, the International Street which is the main artery of the street area, which welcomes guests when they enter the park . Both sides of the street are lined with shops, including park-related souvenir shops, clothing stores, restaurants, and candy stores.

Equally appealing is the Medieval Fair section of the park set on a medieval European theme, both in the environment and the names of the rides. However, it has declined in recent years due to the advent of the United Nations-themed new attractions: Riptide, Drop Tower, Shockwave, Speed City Race Track, and The Bat.

The other original rides that are part of the medieval theme are Fire Dragon, The Fury (a rocking Viking ship, originally called RAGE Viking), Nightmares (originally called Wilde Night Seas), and the Wild Beast. The shops and restaurants follow the medieval theme, as does the castle theater (Wonders Theater, originally Canterbury Theater).
