The Valley of the Ten Peaks

El Valley of the Ten Peaks is a valley in the Banff National Park which is topped by ten notable peaks and also includes Moraine Lake. The valley can be reached by road near Moraine Lake Louise. The 10 peaks were originally named for Samuel Allen, one of the region's early explorers.

With a crystal clear blue-green lake, a valley surrounded by ten high mountain peaks, and a valley below the third highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, it is no wonder that Moraine Lake has scenic grandeur and beauty. fame.

From Lake Louise Village, follow Lake Louise Drive to Moraine Lake and then drive through Paradise Valley which is the start of a trail until you reach a large parking lot on the shores of the lake. Be sure to bring your camera for the spectacular view of the lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks (the series of ten mountain peaks that runs from the edge of the lake to the left of the entire valley).

On the waterfront in front of the parking lot, the Rockpile (literally a pile of stones!) Is on your left and the hostel is on your right, while in front is the lake and the start of the Wenkchemna peaks. To your right is the peak Temple Mount, which is the third highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies at 3.540 meters (11.500 feet).

The area offers a wide variety of recreational options. You can rent a canoe from the boat dock and paddle to the end of the lake, which you can take for a ride along the shoreline or you can walk to any number of wonderful destinations, including the Consolacion lakes, Alerce Valle , Sentinel Pass and Eiffel Lake.
