Inventions of Ancient China

Chinese history

China, one of the great civilizations of ancient times, gave us a great legacy with many inventions among which are:

Flamethrower - It has been a very important invention that is used even today basically to weld metals together, and it is very useful in the construction of strong structures. The truth is that they have been around since ancient times.

For example, the Pen Huo Qi, which was a flame that was thrown through a machine that used gasoline, and was invented around 919 AD.

Rudder - is a device located on a boat or vessel, which helps to turn the boat towards the desired direction. Before rudders were invented, ships had to use oars, which resulted in wasting a great deal of time and energy. The rudder is said to have been invented in China way back in the XNUMXst century AD. It was during the reign of the Han dynasty that the first use of the rudder was seen.

Compass - is undoubtedly one of the most important inventions. It is widely used on airplanes and ships, and it is also very useful for finding your way if someone gets lost. The magnetic compass was discovered by the Qin dynasty between 221-206 BC. In the beginning, the compass was used by fortune tellers to build their tables of fortune. However, it was later found that instead of guessing the future, a compass was more valuable in pointing the right direction.

Deep Drilling - This drilling technique was invented by the ancient Chinese in 100 BC and is still used today. Deep drilling is basically used to drill into the ground for gas. The first deep drilling devices were huge and very well made.
