Who does not recognize the Chinese flag when do you see it? Fiercely red it is the symbol of one of the last communist nations on the planet and the only one that plays an important role in the global capitalist economy. But how old is it? Who designed it? What does your drawing represent and what does it mean?
Well red has always been the color of communism and the Chinese, who have always adored red, adopted it for their national flag and for certain parts of the military uniform. The flag was first hoisted in Tiannanmen Square on the day the People's Republic of China was founded, October 1, 1949 and has been flying there ever since to the pride of those who helped build the country.
It was designed by an economist from the city of Shanghai who was also a member of the communist committee of that city, a fellow named Zeng Iiansong (1917-1999) who had participated in the liberation war against the Japanese occupation. It seems that a similar flag had been used during the 20s but later it was modified to the one we know. Even though the official version is that the largest gold star represents the party and the others the population, it also seems that in the original symbolism the biggest star was the Han people and the other 4, represented other races (Manchurians, Mongols, Tibetans and Muslims).
As I told you before, the color red is the symbol of the revolution, not only china, and the relationship between the golden stars located on the left of the canvas symbolize the great union of the people Chinese under the leadership of the Party. Today it is raised in any corner of the country and is one of the flags that no one hesitates to identify. It is not the only national emblem, but we will talk about the others on another occasion.
The union of the peoples is very gratifying, as you did, now being one of the largest countries in the world, which is still very lucky. marcelo kerife bogota colombia

The stars of the Chinese flag, is linked to the Chinese tradition, of representing the cardinal points in five, they mean the four cardinal points (North, South, East and West) and the center (the largest represents China). They consider the point where one is situated as another cardinal point, that is why it is the largest.
Hi 😀
Interesting, but what a shame it is said communism when in reality it is socialism, led by the CP of course. Lamentalbe that we speak of races when we are all humans a single race.
