Main National Natural Parks of Colombia

Colombia has the privilege of having a great natural wealth based on its geographical and climatic variety, hosting all kinds of landscapes that attract national and international travelers.

With the aim of preserving this wonderful testimony of nature, the country has created more than 50 national parks located in all corners of the national geography, also offering a whole range of alternatives linked to learning and entertainment.

Among the most prominent are:

Los Nevados National Natural Park: It is one of the most visited in the country, it houses a set of three snow-capped peaks (Santa Isabel, El Ruiz and Tolima) that exceed 4 meters above sea level.

Amacayu National Natural Park: It is an important natural reserve located in the Colombian Amazon, and is considered a place of scientific interest due to its great diversity of flora and fauna.

La Macarena National Natural Park: Located in the territories of the Meta department, it is considered one of the most important wildlife refuges in the world, as it becomes the meeting point of the Andean, Amazonian and Orinoco ecosystems, concentrating an incalculable natural wealth.

Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Natural Park: it is considered the highest coastal mountain formation in the world, reaching a height of 5.775 near the shores of the Caribbean Sea.
