The University City, known colloquially as the "White City" is the set of buildings that make up the Main Campus of the National University of Colombia, located in the town of Teusaquillo in Bogotá; It is the largest university campus in the country and one of the largest in Latin America.
The architect in charge of such a great work is the German Leopoldo Rother, who was also in charge of thinking about the urban planning of the city. It is a set of architectural blocks, of which 17 have been declared a National Monument and together with other buildings on the campus represent the last 60 years of Colombian architecture. The surface of the University City has one million two hundred thousand square meters (121,35 hectares) and about three hundred thousand square meters of built area, it is generous in pedestrian areas, green areas and open spaces.
