This is a vibrant city located on the south side of county of Derbyshire, which has been transformed by the fate of its production of its historical silk and its well-known Rolls Royce with the production of engines, and now, to a certain extent, tourism.
The cosmopolitan city of Derby Today it is a great place to shop, stroll and socialize, and is very close to the Peak District and the National Forest.
Many tourist attractions and residence shops in the center of Derby's Cathedral Quarter, and around well-known areas such as the Cornmarket, Iron Gate, Sadler Gate, the Strand and Market Square, which is where the Local Tourist Information Center is located, inside the Assembly Rooms.
And for shopping, there is nothing better than a tour of the Westfield Derby shopping center, which has almost 200 stores and a very luxurious De Lux cinema complex on its top floor.
There really is an abundance of green space dotted around the city of Derby, with favorites like the Riverside Gardens and Bass Land Recreation, both fronting the Derwent River. Markeaton Park is also popular and comes with its own train light, although its steam train rides are sadly now a thing of the past.
The Derby Arboretum is one of the city's most spacious and widely used public spaces and was donated to the city as far back as 1840. There are guided tours of the Royal Crown Derby factory, while football fans can have the lucky to catch a game at the modern Pride Park Stadium.
