As in many European countries, young people in Germany tend to live to almost 30 years with their parents. The main reason is that they extend their level of training (more than 40% of young people study university degrees), which is why they do not have a job, which is why they cannot emancipate themselves.
The ideology of today's youth has changed a lot compared to 20 years ago, being now much more pragmatic and optimistic than the youth of yesteryear. In politics, there is a division of ideas, both left and right, although there is hardly any extremism on either side. But the most remarkable thing in the German youth is the civic awareness they have, and most of them defend social and ecological causes, they are committed in favor of the elderly in need, the environment and the protection of animals, the poor, immigrants and the disabled.
