Ida, doubly sacred mountain

There are two mountains with the same name which in Greek mythology are considered sacred. Today one is in tracksuit and the other in Turkey. It is about Mount Ida. On the one hand the Mount of the Goddesses in Crete and on the other the Mount Ida from the ancient region of trod, in the west of Anatolia, the mountain that is named in La Iliad.

However both mountains are associated with the primitive mother goddess. In fact the very name, Ida, has origins pre-Greeks. In the case of Mount Ida in Crete, it is the highest mountain on the island and is dedicated to the goddess Rhea. Beneath this mountain is the legendary cave in which Zeus was raised, and in the case of Mount Ida of Anatolia, is the mountain from where it is said that Zeus kidnapped Ganymede. Today the Turks do not call this mountain by the name of Ida, they say Kaz More.
