What are the Greeks like?

Westerners have manners similar and we will never feel totally far from home while traveling on this side of the globe, but still each country has its particular customs and if we are planning a trip to Greece It is convenient for us to know some so as not to be rude.

We must first know that the Greek people are a people cheerful and that will make your vacation a lot of fun. People like to laugh, talk, they are curious, open and very communicative. Everything happens in the street, the street is the place chosen to talk about the events of the day and we will surely see in the villages how women take advantage of the shadow of a doorway or a tree to catch up while men tend to go to the taverns to do exactly the same.

If we are visiting the tourist sites for a good part of the day then we must know that we must respect the schedule of the nap after noon, although I think that will not be a problem for many of us since this practice of rest is very widespread in many towns. And then, in the late afternoon, it will be convenient for us to take a walk around the town square, have something cool and contemplate how the town in question or the city comes to life when the heat of the sun stops being suffocating.

Of course, we will see that there is differences between cities and towns. In the former, for example in Athens, life is more cosmopolitan and the women more liberal and independent, while in the countryside the woman continues to be "the daughter of" or "the wife of" and even a dowry is still given in marriage. But the truth is that in Greece we will run into cultured people, educated and yes, very religious. They practice the orthodox catholicism But as always happens in the interior of the country, legends, rites, superstitions and spells reign, so it is not advisable to miss any of its popular festivals.

Is that the parties are moments of great excitement, a lot of color, with music from typical instruments. Surely you have seen somewhere the dance that men dance hugging each other raising their legs to a rhythm that goes in growing and that is very catchy. But the national dance is the kalamantianís that is danced in a circle, with a dancer in the middle.

Well, in short, wine, food, dance, talks, laughter and guaranteed fun, that is what we will find on Greek soil, something that as tourists we should not stop experiencing.

My boyfriend is Greek, and it is true that he is super cheerful, but sometimes he is clumsy and my loved ones tell me that he is ugly and that I do not deserve it. But as the saying goes "The man is like the bear, the uglier the more beautiful." Hahaha poor Spyros, you have to bank a very crazy Argentine like me !!! Hahaha, I'm going to be tempted!

I also have a Greek boyfriend and his name is Spyros and he is the best in the world! It seems to me the most handsome thing that has walked the earth so don't worry about what others say because the outer beauty attracts but the inner one is what makes you fall in love! And I'm fed up with the overcoat when I hear from her mouth that of… Ela re !!!!! He is happy to have a Spanish by his side who gives him a good "war" !!!! A kiss and enjoy! ?
