The tomb of Agamemnon

The tomb of Agamemnon also known as "The treasure of Atreus" or Atreus' tomb, it is dated 1252 BC, it was located outside the city walls, to ward off the spirit of the dead. Near this tomb, there is another known as "The tomb of Clytemnestra", which belongs to the year 1220 BC, of ​​the lady of Agamemnon, it has also been said that it is possibly the true tomb of Agamemnon.
The construction of the tomb is a tholos because it has a dome and a circular plant, it has a dromos corridor, and a cyclopean wall covered with earth so that it is integrated into the landscape, and as it is concealed it prevents looters from discovering it.
Of the tombs that are preserved, it is the largest in Ancient Greece.
According to the findings found, the corpses were buried and accompanied by many offerings in the burial rites, which were possibly carried by car to the tomb. Traces have been found in the surrounding lands that affirm that the offerings were brought in carts.
Inside the tomb a valuable treasure was found, highlighting the Golden Mask of Agamemnon, which is in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, other elements are exhibited in the British Museum.
If it will be majestic the tomb of Agamemnon, that the lintel over the door is formed by two stones, one of which weighs 120 tons. The tomb is carved out of the rock.
To get to the room, you have to go through an interior stomion corridor measuring 36 by 6 meters.
The real burial chamber is carved out of the rock.
When the dome was built, they decorated it with bronze rosettes.
