Flora and fauna in Morocco

About wildlife and natural attractions most imposing of Morocco we will talk today, taking as a starting point the Merdja Zerga Biological Reserve (Blue Lagoon) which among its most beautiful features has a colony of flamingos and a shelter for migratory birds.

In Morocco many open spaces are used for grazing sheep, cows and goats, and in general we will also find points where algave and dwarf palm grow. The birds and the vast expanse of the reserve guarantee some unique postcards about the wildlife in Morocco.

Then we have an amazing cedar forest south of the city of Azrou. Surrounded by the Middle Atlas mountain range, the Barbary monkeys take refuge there, a unique species in Morocco. They usually hide at the top of the trees, since they are shy animals.

In the Alto Altas area we find incredible butterflies and insects, a wide variety of animals that live in dazzling habitats. The praying mantis, the elephant shrew and the running squirrel, for example, are found in the landscapes of the high Moroccan mountains.

If you enjoy watching the Flora and fauna, Morocco has a wide variety to dazzle you.
