Salaries in Norway
Although before I gave you the figure that the average salary was the second highest in the world, 5.000 euros, this is not so. A waiter, a clerk in a clothing store, a grocer and positions that do not require much qualification receive an average salary of 2.500 euros per month gross, from which you have to subtract at least 30% of taxes. The starting salary of an engineer is approximately 4.000 euros. Remember that in Norway you will charge in crowns, which is the local currency.
You should be aware that there is no minimum wage, and the salary is fixed between the employer and the employee when signing the contract. But de facto in some jobs such as construction, agriculture or cleaning, minimum wages are being adopted.
