Venezuela, a megadiverse country

Venezuela Holidays

The development of Venezuela in almost 25 years it is due to the economic boom of the country, due to the enormous oil reserves. To this is added that the country is well known for its beautiful women, magnificent beaches of the Caribbean islands, the highest waterfall in the world and for the late former president. Hugo Chávez who gave his country a new name: the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Venezuela is located in the northernmost part of the continent of South America. It is located in the northern hemisphere, between 0 ° and 12 ° north latitude, the Equator, but it does not cross the territory of Venezuela.

It passes near the border, but in the territory of Brazil. Venezuela, like any other country in South America, is located entirely in the Western Hemisphere. Its coordinates are between 59 and 73 ° west longitude. Venezuela borders three countries - Colombia (west and southwest), Brazil (south and southeast) and Guyana (east) and has a great outlet for the Caribbean in the north, where it has more than 70 small islands.

To this we must add that it is a very diverse country topography. Alternate high mountains, plateaus, canyons, plains, and lowlands. In the northwest of the country are the foothills of the Andes. Exactly here is the highest peak in Venezuela that rises to a height of 5007 meters above the sea.

And in the southeast of the country is the Guyana mountain range, whose highest peak is the 3.000-meter-high Treman Tepui. Deep canyons form between the magnificent mountains. In the southern parts of Venezuela there are flat lands, which are part of the Amazon basin.
