Mooloolaba, a beach near Brisbane

Just one hour from the city of Brisbane you come across a long stretch of coastline, with golden sand beaches, a lot of park and many wonderful and cosmopolitan places to spend a pleasant season. All that you find is Mooloolaba, a spa that is not as expensive as Noosa but more relaxed, with ordinary people and no celebrities.

Mooloolaba Beach is white sand and is lined with gardens throughout, patrolled all year round, so it is one of the safest beaches for swimmers. Here you can spend time swimming, sunbathing on the lounger or learning to surf. But the site also offers other things: fishing tours, canal cruises, diving with sharks in the Underwater World, meeting whales and that kind of thing. Also, if you walk towards the north end of the beach you will come across a series of beautiful natural pools formed by rocks and the Point Cartwright lighthouse.

The Mooloolaba boardwalk is fantastic and is full of restaurants and bars with international food, although the specialty of the spa is fish. If you are in Brisbane and you want a beautiful and quiet beach, then know Mooloolaba.
