On this occasion we will talk about some of the most outstanding exponents of the Hindu music. On a past occasion we met Ravi Shankar, however he is not the only one. Another notable case is that of Krishna Chakravarti, a woman who now at 51 is among the leading figures in the use of the citara. She is currently the dean of the Faculty of Music at the Hindu University of Benares, a clear example of all her mastery in the knowledge of Hindu music. From a very young age she was recognized as a citarista teacher, giving her the opportunity to participate in sessions and concerts with a teacher such as the aforementioned Ravi Shankar.
