Porto It is still a conservative city, but in the last decade it has opened to various demonstrations with the Gay community, for example. In such a way that since 2001 they have Gay Pride Week. However, the march has the honor of going down the main avenue, Avenida dos Aliados, which indicates that the city is gradually opening up to gay life.
Unlike Lisbon, however, there is no traditionally gay neighborhood. There are some gay bars, but there are no hotels of its kind. The bars are known to have a typical, laid-back party atmosphere. They just enjoy the night.

Rua Dr. Barbosa de Castro, 63
It is the best of Porto known gay club located for more than a decade right in the center of the city (it is close to Torre de los Clérigos). It's open on weekends until 2.30AM but the dancing continues until 4. Expect lots of lights, loud music, and dancing queens (and the drag show every now and then).

Rua Nossa Senhora de Fatima, 334
The classification of this as a straight gay-friendly bar or as a gay-friendly staircase-bar depends on who you ask. It's maybe both, depending on the night. It is both a bar and an art gallery for a night anyone can be straight, gay, mixed, or whatever. It opens at 9 PM and often stays open until dawn on weekends.
Moinho by Vento
Rua de Sa de Noronha, 76-78
This is the gay hot spot of the moment, located in a medieval building. It is especially busy on the weekends (although only past 11pm or midnight), with a bar area and a dance floor.
PRIDE
Rua do Bonjardim, 1121
This bar proudly displays the rainbow flag on the door, and inside, gay, lesbian, or funny dance the night away. It is also known for its flamboyant drag shows.
