Matt Rose It is an exceptional wine from the North of Portugal. It is a wine full of flavor and fruit, balanced and admirably fresh and ideal for light gastronomy, seafood, fish, Chinese or Thai food or simply to enjoy a refreshing moment.
The Portuguese brand, which was a must at parties in the 70s, has followed in the footsteps of its German rivals with a brand relaunch campaign aimed at introducing it to the new generation of wine consumers.
This unmistakable rounded bottle, according to its producers, will change for the first time since the launch of Mateus Rosé in 1942. The new bottle will be narrower and with a higher neck, and the word 'Rosé' will disappear to highlight the name of the brand. »
The wine had maintained the same presentation since it was launched in 1942, but after conducting a market study we discovered that consumers considered it somewhat old-fashioned. We hope the new improved bottle will be more attractive, ”says Alec Guthrie, the brand's director of marketing.
Made in Bairrada by the great Portuguese group Sogrape, the Mateus Rosé is made at a controlled temperature, has a low degree (11º), uses the local varieties baga, donzelinho, mourisco, pinheira ink and baroque ink, and above all uses a very ingenious conservation in large metal tanks at a very low temperature, with constant bottling throughout the year.
