The beaches of Faro

One of the charming and popular places in the Algarve in the summer season it is Faro; a coastal city that has many beaches where the Mediterranean climate, with lots of sun and warm temperatures make it one of the most visited destinations.

The summer weather, beautiful and sunny, is from May to September, and December, the rainiest month in Faro, until January reaching average high temperatures of 16 ° C and the average minimum of 8 ° C, and the Lighthouse will attend the spring weather in March and April.

There highlights the Faro Beach, with fine sand and foam, typical of the Algarve, very close to the airport. To get to the beach you have to take buses 14 or 16 in the gardens of the bay (the same buses as for the airport).

It should be noted that in summer ferries are enabled that transport visitors through canals to other great local beaches halfway between Faro and Olhão. Ferries depart from the Cidade Velha and take passengers to the beaches of Farol and Ilha da Barreta or also known as Ilha Deserta, nestled in the middle of the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
