Canarian traditional music

  Musicians Party

Canarian popular music was born under many cultural, European and American influences, which enriched the islands throughout their history, without forgetting the rhythms traditional aborigines. The «Isa», «Folia» and «Malagueña» are the most popular rhythms of the Islands Canary Islands.

In Tenerife, there are many groups folkloric who play traditional music at festivals and pilgrimages, but it is very common to see people "partying" (in groups of musicians and singers) to sing around a good table.

La music cuisine it is classified into three different genres. The first includes the oldest rhythms: romantic ballads, work songs, and "tajarastes", among many others. Other rhythms include "Folias", "Malagueñas", "Saltonas" and "Tanguinillos" and, of course, the "Isa". In the gender modern we find «polcas», «mazurcas», Cuban sounds and other rhythms of South American origin.
