On the border between China and Vietnam, on the Guichun River in Guangxi province, there are two waterfalls: Detian and Ban Gioc. The first is really beautiful and brings life to a landscape like no other. You can see it in the photos. Actually the waterfall has two parts, there is a main waterfall that is called Detian, on the Chinese side of the river, and there is another waterfall called Ban Gioc that is on the Vietnamese side. On the Chinese side you can see both, luckily.
There is a path that takes you right to the main waterfall and that allows you to see a stretch of small waterfalls so you must always have your camera available. This is a very hot and humid place so have mosquito repellent handy as well, otherwise they will eat you alive. The different seasons of the year change the postcard that the waterfall offers, so while in winter the clear water falls slowly, in autumn the whole contour turns golden and yellow, in summer the water falls with the force of an avalanche and in spring the trees around they bloom in red tones and it is a real spectacle. Of course, you should not go at the end of April because there is little water.
To go to know it, you should first go through the provincial capital, Nanning and from there go to the town of Daxin, the closest one. From Naning you can hire a tour, the trip is 4 hours but you go through incredible places.
