Fengxian, a beach near Shanghai

Fengxian beach

Shanghai is one of the best Chinese cities to visit. Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Hong Kong and Macau are on my favorite list but without a doubt, if you travel wanting to party, Shanghai is great. And it even has beaches! Therefore, if you run into very hot days, and there are, you can make a getaway to the beach. The shanghai beaches They are not among the best and cleanest in China, that must also be said, but hey, when the heat rages everything is fine.

And there are some relatively waxy options downtown or around the city limits. For example, there is the Fengxian Beach. It is part of a project that is being developed on a small coastal area that has been dubbed the "Hawaii Tourist Zone." It seems that, if all goes well, the construction around here will be finished in just over two years. The beach is located less than an hour from downtown Shanghai and it is a public access beach with golden sands. The sands were imported and brought here, naturally.

Swimming is not allowed, yes, since the waters still do not pass through any filtering system, but hey, fresh air and sun are enough. Nearby there is a mini amusement park, on the beach as well, and inside the Hotel Blue Resorts there is a shopping center, a 4D cinema and other games. Admission is RMB 50 on weekdays and RMB 80 on Saturdays and Sundays. You can get there by bus.
