Speaking of Chinese ethnic groups and how the Han ethnic group represents the vast majority of society, we now refer to the typical clothing of this ethnic group. Is named Hanfu and it is the typical clothing of the historical periods that within Chinese history are called the Three Emperors period and the Five Sovereignty period, until the Ming dynasty. This type of clothing became the traditional dress of an entire nation for over a thousand years and during that time the Han brought color and shine to their entire culture.

The style of the han chinese dress, hanfu, it is elegant and simple: it does not have buttons or a belt so it is a loose clothing in the shape of the letter Y that has a more elegant variant and a simpler one. The most elegant form was used by emperors and officials and is called "shenyi". The simplest version of this clothing is called paofu, for men, while the female version is called ruqun. The simplest clothing, for ordinary workers, consisted of long pants and a short shirt.

The accessories were typical of the wealthiest classes. Boys and girls could wear pigtails and hairpins when they got older. The female hairstyles were much more elaborate and decorated than the male ones and they used to have pearls, flowers and hairpins of precious materials.
