La Chinese mythology It is very rich in stories and characters and one of the most popular characters is the Monkey King, Sun Wukong.
El Monkey king is the protagonist of an epic novel called Journey to the west which recounts adventures and stories from the time of the Tang Dynasty. The story goes that this notorious character was born from a mythical rock formed in times of Chaos and that by earning the respect of the monkeys he soon became their king.
