In the department of Quindío, about 50 festivals and fairs are celebrated annually, this reflects the happy and partying spirit of the Quindiano people represented in the culture that frames it.
Anniversary festivities that take place in each of the municipalities of the department, the festivities: del Café in Calarcá; of Liberty in Circasia; Bamboo, Guadua and Return in Córdoba; of the Basket in Filandia; of the Palma de Cera in Salento and that of the other 7 municipalities that are held annually.
In addition to this, the other festivals, fairs and reigns that take place within the region such as:
the national festival of Andean music, the national reign of the chapolera, the national coffee fair, the national duet contest and the international festival of arts, all this in Armenia; the festivities of San Isidro in Filandia; the national paragliding circuit in Buenavista, the yipao parade in Calarcá; the regional country music contest in Montenegro, the national enduro championship and the muleteering contest in Salento; the cattle fair and the national festival of candles and lanterns in Quimbaya and the departmental reign of Quindianidad in Pijao.
Added to this are the Virgen del Carmen festivities that take place in all the municipalities of the department.
