Main Fairs and festivals in Colombia

Colombia is recognized worldwide as a party territory, where each city and each municipality has one or more reasons a year to celebrate. Next we will know the most important and the most popular:

Carnival of Barranquilla: It is celebrated from Saturday to the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, generally in February, and since 2003 it has been listed by Unesco as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Manizales Fair: Considered the oldest fair in America, and recognized for its Bullfighting Season and for the International Coffee Reign. It takes place in the first week of January.

Cali Fair: Celebration that runs from December 25 to 31, where the most important exponents of salsa worldwide meet. Its bullfighting fair and other cultural activities are also well known.

Black and White Carnival: it is a festival full of culture and tradition, which takes place the first days of each year in the beautiful city of Pasto, and in 2009 it was declared "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity".

The Fiesta de las Corralejas in Sincelejo (January)
The Devil's Carnival in Riosucio (January)
The Subienda Festival in Honda (February)
The Llanera Song Festival in Villavicencio (March)
The Folkloric Festival and National Bambuco Reign in Neiva (June)
The Flower Fair in Medellín (August)
