Two majestic Natural Parks in La Guajira

Two of the most important national parks in the country make their presence in the department of Guajira, Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary, as well as the Macuira National Natural Park; making this region a benchmark for the practice of ecotourism.

At Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary for example, tourists enjoy a land of coastal lagoons watered by streams that supply the birds that precisely give the place its name, the flamingos.

El Macuira National Natural Park It is a true oasis in the middle of the desert, an ecosystem of great biodiversity, home to numerous species of monkeys, tigrillos, the brown cat, deer, guacharacas, blackbirds and bluebirds, among others.
