Regions of Croatia

If you want to visit Croatia, You have to know that it is divided into cwaves, but grouped by regions, which are very suitable and interesting for any tourist, since each one has its own traditions, being very particular. These are: Dalmatia (main tourist and coastal area), Istria (heavily influenced by Italy, due to its proximity), Central Croatia (it's the capital, Zagreb) and Slavonia (the least known).

In Dalmatia, there are the counties of Zadar, Sibenik-knin, Split and Dubrovnik-Neretva.

In Istria: Primorije-Gorski Dotar, Lika - Senj and Istria.

In Central Croatia: Zagreb County, Krapina-Zagorije, Sisak - Moslavina, Karlovac, Varazdin, Koprivnica-Krizevci, Bjelovar-Bilogora, Medimurje and the city of Zagreb.

In Slavonia: Virovitica-Podravina, Pozega, Brod-Posavina, Osijek-Baranja and Vukovar.

With all these regions, it is a great adventure for any tourist to know them.

For tourists, its main destinations are focused on the coast, because its landscapes are very beautiful. Its entire coastline is worth seeing, including its monuments and natural resources.

In Pula, the Roman amphitheater stands out, in Porec, the Euphrasic Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Rovinj, has a spectacular landscape, as it seems to emerge from the waters of the Adriatic Sea.

The tourism, is undergoing a spectacular increase, with the visit to the islands located in the gulf, these are Krk, Cres, Rab or Pag.

In Sibenik, there is another World Heritage Site, the Cathedral of Santiago, near which is the wonderful Krka River National Park. Another great Heritage Site is Trogir.

The most visited in Croatia is Diocletian's Palace, which is located in the city of Split.
