A Danish legend

shield

Denmark is a country full, like many others in reality, of old legends of heroes and soldiers. This time we will talk about how a very unique coat of arms was gestured, represented by a half full bottle.

It turns out that in one of the many invasions of Denmark, the combat it became bloody. Hundreds of dying bodies lay on the ground, some shortly after exhaling their last breath, others seriously injured, others ignorant of what the future had in store for them.

The Danes won this particular fight, and it turns out that one of the Danish soldiers was lying on the ground, exhausted. He got up and took out a small bottle of beer. Near him lay an enemy, wounded but conscious and very complaining. The Dane approached and began to lean over to give him the bottle when his enemy drew his pistol and fired, but missing the shot.

Without much else to say, the Dane drank about half the bottle and threw it at his enemy, “for fool you will only keep half ”. That was all he said.

El the kingUpon hearing this peculiar story, and due to the chivalrous attitude of the soldier, he granted him the rank of knights and a shield to pass on to his descendants, this shield was represented by a half-empty bottle that alluded to the event that had occurred.
