Eurotunnel, connection Paris - London

No one would have imagined 20 years ago arriving in London from the European continent under the sea. Not even the great visionary Jules Verne would have come up with such a brilliant idea of joining England with Europe through a tunnel built under the waters of the English Channel.

But this was achieved and is called Eurotunnel, which is an important international transport infrastructure inaugurated on May 6, 1994 and its journey lasts approximately 35 minutes by electric train between Calais / Coquelles (France) and Folkestone (United Kingdom).

The journey is 50 km long, the trains run 100 meters deep, and the journey between Paris and London is about 3 hours by car as you can see in the video.

Undoubtedly, the Eurotunnel is one of the clearest symbols of the European Union, a goal pursued at the end of the 15th century from all political and institutional spheres and that had an investment cost of 6 billion dollars, twice as much expected in XNUMX years of construction.

This had already been thought by Napoleon, who was no fool.
It seems to me a super work. In 2009, I had to travel from my country Argentina to London, for work of course, and I took the opportunity to make a trip to the city where my mother was born: Lyon [France].
Something unthinkable in three days at least, as I did it. It was very sad for me, you can imagine why. The truth is that without that immense work, it is my opinion, I could not have done it.
Thank you for allowing me to comment.
