horse riding

From time immemorial the Greeks enjoyed the horse, but in an organized way as a sport, it began shortly before the Second World War, in charge of a group of senior army officers and a group of "horse friends", they formed the Club Equestrian from Greece (EIO), in the Holargós in Attica.
After the war, the Club moved to Paradísos Amarousious, for better facilities, always in the Attica, It was when the Club grew, as many Athenians who had the condition approached. This is how competitive horsemanship in Greece grew, developing more and more, it is one of the sports on the rise, practiced by children, young and old. Every so often new clubs are created, new jokers appear. There are currently about 50 riding clubs and riding schools, 46 of which are recognized by the federation. There are approximately 2450 people who practice riding and more than 1000 competition horses. Young people are the ones who practice it the most. Outside of the competition there are places where programs are developed for the practice of beginners, advanced ones, and there are also specialized rural centers, in different regions of Greece. There, highly trained personnel teach them all the secrets of riding, the safety rules, being able to enjoy equestrian excursions, with trained, tame horses, which do not give problems when riding them. Depending on the domain you have of the horse, it will be where you will make the journey, enjoying nature trails. Exploring Greece on horseback is a very relaxing sensation, touring the thick forests full of legends, where the centaurs were roamed, is fascinating. There are itineraries where during the day you ride and at night you rest in guest houses or rural villages.
