Greece has many popular dances and folk dances, after all it is a country with many regions, both on the mainland and on the islands. But if there is a dance that has become synonymous with Greece as a nation, that is the sirtaki dance, Dance Zorba the Greek, for many people.

Well, it's a movie from the '60s that starred Anthony Queen. It seems that a certain Mikis Theodorakis created it especially for the film combining rhythms and dances, in fast and slower versions, of the well-known Hasapiko dance.
La sirtaki dance it is danced in a group, people form a circle or a line and take each other by the shoulders. The music starts out slow and then picks up speed until it gets really fast until it forces everyone to jump.
