Hong Kong and its gastronomy

Varied and exotic food in Hong Kong is revealed to us, varied because in it we find the most diverse dishes of all styles, food being relevant Cantonese or Chinese, and exotic because in its streets we will see some of the most expensive restaurants in the world and a few meters from them street food stalls.

And although the names of the dishes are the same as those we are used to ordering here in Spain, obviously we must say that their flavor and presentation have nothing to do with it.

Typical dishes:

Dinsum: A specialty of the city of Hong Kong and surely its most typical dish, it is a kind of steamed buns stuffed with meat and different vegetables, similar to the spring roll we could say.

Pekingese Duck: As its name indicates, originally from the Chinese capital Beijing, as a curiosity we will say that this dish can be spiced for many days to give it its characteristic flavor, it is usually accompanied by crepes.

Buddha's delight; vegetarian dish made up of a varied number of ingredients is said to be the preferred food of Buddhist monks

Street food stalls; the truth is that at first glance for those of us who are not used to the smell and seeing the vapors from their pots and woks cooking in the street can throw us back when deciding to eat in these "restaurants" street but if it is true that normally, unless it is one of these half-hidden or very low prices, they do not have to be bad, or dangerous to our health, the typical dishes of these "restaurants " They are the wantog noodles, the cottage cheese accompanied by bean sprouts and the fish skewers.
