Whenever one visits Morocco or explore its places of interest, you usually find signs of an ancient civilization that still today says it is present and invites us to reflect: the Berber culture.
Very little is known about the origins of the Berber people, even today their true roots are debated and the data about these ethnic peoples of North Africa is still varied according to the historians and philosophers that cover them.
Hesiod said that the Berber were children of the goddess of the night. This would explain his dark colored skin. Plato Instead he considered them Atlanteans, he said they were the most beautiful men on the face of the Earth. Among the Arabs and Muslims, Ibn Khaldun said that the origin of the Berbers was related to the Palestinians who fled to the west under King David.
The first historical reference to the origin of the Berbers is found in writings and symbols of the year 3000 BC. Egyptians, Romans and Greeks talk at some point about this African community that has become one of the keys to understanding Morocco and its life in the interior of the mountains.
