Visit in Kristiansand

With approximately 80 inhabitants, Kristiansand, county town of Vest Agdersouth of Norway, is the sixth most populated city in the country.

It was founded in 1641 by King Cristián IV with the aim of being a great market city dedicated to promoting the growth of this region, of great importance thanks to its strategic location.

At the present time the city is one of the great centers of commerce and communications in the south of Norway, with an economy based on industry and tourism.

Kristiansand is one of the most visited destinations, and in part thanks to the fact that in summer it receives a significant amount of sun, compared to other Norwegian places. Visitors enjoy, for example, a tour of the city center called Kvadraturen due to the square shape of its blocks in Renaissance style.

The fisherman's wharf and Gravanekanalen (the Gravane Canal) is also a great option, here you will find a fish market with a great atmosphere, with a variety of restaurants, motorboats and tourist boats.

Other places that stand out are the Kristiansand Zoo and Amusement Park, just 12 kilometers east, and which offers entertainment for the whole family, offers the opportunity to observe tigers, monkeys and lions, or enjoy attractions , shows and water activities.

The Vest-Agder Museum is another recommended attraction, it is a historical cultural museum and a miniature town with Kristiansand buildings.
