Relaxing beaches in Maceió

Relaxing beaches in Maceió

When most people think of traveling to Brazil , the bright lights of the prosperous city of Rio de Janeiro immediately comes to mind. However, there is much more to this vast country than the Capital of Samba.

There is a route to explore along the Emerald Coast, which is a strip starting west of Rio until reaching Paratí, where the 3 best destinations to visit stand out:

Maceio

It is an ideal destination to enjoy a complete vacation with a tropical beach landscape. The rainforest surrounds the city and there are many idyllic beaches to relax in, both aided by a warm climate throughout the year.

With so many great beaches to choose from it can be difficult to decide where to go, visiting Sonho Verde, Gunga and Ipioca beach would be recommended. Maceió is a fantastic place to sail, sail and explore the pools and reefs of all of it in the vicinity of the city.

Belem

It is a city that dates back to 1616 being the first city in the Amazon to be colonized and is seen as the gateway to both the Amazon River and the Atlantic Ocean. This port city is a great place to experience some authentic Brazilian culture.

Here is a bustling and thriving market where the catch of the day is sold and is the perfect place to sample traditional cuisine. You must visit the Forte de Castelo and the Sé Cathedral, which are some of the oldest buildings in the city.

Fortaleza

It is located on the north east coast and is a great place to explore Brazil's colonial past, with a great deal of attention having gone into the preservation and restoration of these historic buildings.

The ideal place to witness this is along the Praia de Iracema beach. From here you reach the city beaches, where city life blends seamlessly with a more relaxed way of life.

The beaches are ideal for surfing and I recommend taking a sunset walk along the beach. My advice is to take a trip to Jericoacoara beach, where you will find white sand dunes and fantastic weather all year round.

I correct a postagem error. A 1st image of the Praia não é de Maceió, but the Praia de Areia Vermelha, born in the city of João Pessoa, Paraíba state, Brazil.
