Anise rolls, Elche products

A very recipe traditional from Elche and the eastern area is the Rollos de Anís, which is a delicious recipe, ideal to enjoy the gastronomy of Elche. These rolls are delicious and highly recommended to try them, either in Elche or make them at home. It is very simple and of course if you travel to Elche you should not miss the opportunity to try them. To be able to make them at home, you must make a mixture with oil, anise and sugar. This mixture is added little by little to the flour with yeast and it is kneaded very well.

Now it is a matter of doing the anise rolls to our liking and to the size that we like the most. It is put on a baking tray and with a little sugar on top they are introduced and left for 10-15 minutes, depending on the thickness. The temperature will not exceed 150 º. It is a highly recommended recipe from Elche, although each one sure has its own version.
