Battle of Hydaspes

This time we are going to know some of the Most important battles and wars of Ancient India. Let's start by mentioning the Battle of Hydaspes, carried out in 326 BC During this war, Alexander the Great defeated the Poros and King Paurava.

La Battle of Kalinga carried out in 261 BC, Ashoka defeated the king of Kalinga. Ashoka embraced Buddhism and preached for the rest of his life after this war.

La First Battle of Tarain or Thaneswar it took place in the year 1191. Prithvi Raj Chauhan defeated Mohammed Ghori.

La Second Battle of Tarain it took place in the year 1192. Mohammed Ghori defeated Prithvi Raj Chauhan. Ghori's victory paved the way for the establishment of Muslim rule in India.

In the First Battle of Panipat carried out in the year 1526, Babur defeated Ibrahim Lodhi and laid the foundations of the Mughal empire in India.

La Battle of Khanwah it took place in the year 1527. Babar defeated Rana Sanga of Mewar. This battle resulted in the defeat of the powerful Rajput confederation.

La Second Battle of Panipat it was held in the year 1556. Bairam Khan (General of Akbar) defeated Hemu (Hindu General and right hand of Mohd Adil Shah).

La Battle of Talikota It was made between the years 1564-1565. The Hindu kingdom of Vijayanagar was destroyed.

In the Battle of Haldighati In 1576, Akbar's forces led by Raja Man Singh defeated Rana Pratap, the Rajput king. Although defeated, Rana Pratap refused to accept Mughal authority and continued the war until his death.
