How to get to Cala Mitjana
If we have mentioned it before, it is because both for one and the other, we must take the same path. To get to Cala Mitjana you have to go in the same direction as for Cala Galdana. Whether you leave from Mahón or from Ciudatella you will go in the direction of Galdana. But it is true that there is, just before, a detour to the left. Before arriving at Ferrerías from Ciudadela and in the direction of MahónYou will find the detour but also with good indications towards this cove. It has no loss since it is very well signposted. Once there, it has a free parking lot. Although there are people who are looking for other ways to park, such as on the side of the road. From here you will have to walk a few minutes.
Can you walk to Cala Mitjana?
We have talked about the journey by car, but of course, depending on your location, you can do the journey on foot. For example, if you are in Cala Galdana, then you will arrive in Mitjana in about 20 minutes. A walk that will be perfect to discover the nature of the area. Of course, try to do it on a day that is not too hot, to be able to keep a good rhythm. Just when leaving Galdana there is a path on the left that you will have to take.
Enjoying Cala Mitjana

- Cala Macarella: It can be said that it is one of the Menorca's most famous coves and it is located about three kilometers from Mitjana. For about 6 euros, it is worth it since the way to this cove is not too easy.
- Cala Turqueta: A little further and we find Cala Turqueta. In this case, we can say that it is located about 4 kilometers from Mitjana. This cove is hidden among the pines and once we enter it, we know well why it has that name. Its waters soon reveal to us the best kept secret. It has parking and a beach bar, but to go down to it, you have to walk a few minutes. It is best to go very early or at the last minute, since it is one of the most visited.
- Santo Tomás Beach: About 5 kilometers away, we will find Santo Tomás beach. Another of the places that are well worth visiting. It can be said that it is a beach to enjoy swimming and walks. In addition, it is a three in one, since they are linked to San Adeodato beach and behind it is Binigaus. In this one it is also common to see nudists.

Undoubtedly, during the summer, all the coves and beaches have a massive influx. So it doesn't hurt to go a few hours early. This way you make sure you get the best place, especially in the car park. Keep in mind that an hour and a half before the sun sets, the beach will be covered in shade, due to the pine trees that surround it. You can too go on a hike in the area or go hiking.
