Russia, its emblems and history

Each country has its national emblems such as the anthem and the flag. Russia has a symbol that is very characteristic of it and we are going to talk about it below.

We must first understand that the state emblem of the Russian empire It has changed as time has passed. The XNUMXth century symbol is not the same with respect to the XNUMXth century, but it always maintained an immovable design where an eagle with two heads appears.

Russia it had a political break in the nineteenth century, already entering the twentieth century. This period was characterized by the imbalance of royal power, and during the Provisional Government all medieval signs related to royalty were eliminated. Once the Soviets were in charge of the country, the emblem was totally changed to the well-known hammer and sickle with a red background, the sun located in the lower part with many rays upwards, having above all a red five-pointed star. We must also add the ears of wheat and the legend of "Proletarians of the world, united."

It was only in 2000 that the golden eagle with two heads and the red shield, and the three crowns with the knight on the dragon, became the emblem of the now Russian Federation.
